1 Minute Maine 6/9/2020: Teen Missing, Covid Claims 100 Mainers & BIW Strike on the Horizon

Police in Gorham are looking for a missing Maine teen with ties to the Bangor area. Please contact police if you have any information. Bangor’s pedestrian walkway has been closed until further notice, and the Bangor Hope House is no longer a center for a COVID-19 outbreak. More than 4,300 local S6 workers at Bath Iron Works could be on strike soon, as union leaders haven’t come to an agreement with the shipbuilder for a new contract. The current contract expires on June 21. Maine’s bicentennial celebrations will be postponed until 2021, and coronavirus has sadly claimed 100 lives here in the Pine Tree State.
