1 Minute Maine 7/13/2020: Hatchet-Wielding Parolee Busted in Brunswick, Weekend Tornado & I-95 Construction

This was a crazy weekend in Vacationland! A man wielding a hatchet was arrested in a Walmart parking lot for, among other things, violating conditions of his release. Residents in Bangor threw a “retirement party” for US Senator Susan Collins, as she runs for re-election to a fifth term in the United States Senate. I-95 north will undergo major construction and a reroute starting on July 22. The Pemaquid Oyster Festival’s 20th anniversary event has been cancelled, and will pick it back up again next year. A Tornado touched down in Oxford County over the weekend, and Oxford Casino has reopened for patrons after months closed.

1 Minute Maine highlights the biggest things happening in Vacationland, in just about one minute. Subscribe or listen to Maine Vibe live at 12, 3, 5 & 6pm ET each weekday.
